My painting is an inward journey, an exploration or inner analysis of thoughts, feelings, concepts and beliefs.
It begins with a single color as if to make that first step into the unknown without any preconceived direction or road map. As I paint, layers upon layers of paint are applied; covering, half-covering, exposing, opening, obscuring, inviting, or blocking in an ongoing attempt to clarify what I believe and what I question.
I strive to capture a glimpse of the vastness of both the external and internal universe. Focusing on color, movement, depth and balance, my abstract paintings come from an internal rising that reaches out to the viewer with the hopes of drawing the viewer into their own inner journey.
