The mind is a busy place. Painting for me is a way to work out my thoughts in a visual manner.
While painting is seemingly an outward, expressive, physical act or process, I frequently find myself turning inward, questioning and internalizing my work; a self-imposed search for clarity and meaning.
One of my intentions in painting is to break beyond the boundaries of the physical canvas and allow the work to permeate and fill a larger space in the viewer’s universe, a space that resonates with the rhythm and movement of the painting itself, a space where viewers notice and find themselves.
